Mid-cycle refreshes are usually on the minimal end of things, depending on the automaker. But with Ford, who has so many different vehicles that are important to so many, they often go the extra mile. That’s the case with the 2018 Mustang, which got visual, powertrain, drivetrain, technology, and interior tweaks for the upcoming model year.

In addition to a lowered nose and more aggressive front lighting to aid with both looks and aerodynamics, Ford has expanded the Mustang’s equipment list. This includes features like a new ten-speed automatic transmission, a feature called “MyMode” for saving performance settings, a 12-inch digital instrument display, and ten new wheel designs—to name a few. Also present are revised shocks and stabilizers, as well as the added bonus of lateral chassis stiffness.
